Creator’s Alley

Showcase Your Handmade Creations

Creator’s Alley is a space for artists, crafters, makers, and other creative people to share their handmade work with Archon attendees.

If you create original items, handmade goods, or other unique works that fit the spirit of fandom and creativity, Creator’s Alley may be a great place to connect with fans, promote your work, and sell directly to attendees.

Handmade creative works on display at a convention table.

Table Information

If you had a table at a previous Archon, we will make an effort to assign the same table again, but table placement cannot be guaranteed.

Electricity

Electricity is available through the venue for an additional fee.

If you need electricity, please notify the Creator’s Alley Coordinator when applying.

How to Apply

Applications open on March 31. Please review the current Creator’s Alley packet before applying, as the contract may contain changes from previous years.

Applications should be emailed with the subject line:

[Last Name], [First Name] Application Archon 49

Creator’s Alley uses an application process, and space is limited. Each year, some applicants may not be accepted because only a limited number of tables are available.

If you canceled last year after already paying your registration fee, please contact the Coordinator as soon as possible to discuss rollover arrangements.

Illinois Sales Tax Requirement

If you sell merchandise at fairs, festivals, flea markets, or craft shows, the State of Illinois considers you a retailer. Whether this is a full-time business or a hobby, you are responsible for collecting and paying applicable Illinois sales taxes.

Additional Illinois tax information or forms may be made available closer to the convention.
