Programming Participation
Help Shape the Archon Program
Archon programming is built by fans, creators, guests, and volunteers who bring their knowledge, enthusiasm, and ideas to the convention.
If you have a panel idea, want to participate as a panelist, or would like to help with programming, we would love to hear from you.
What We’re Looking For
Archon features a wide variety of panels, presentations, demonstrations, and discussions across many areas of science fiction, fantasy, fandom, and creativity.
- Writing, publishing, and storytelling
- Science and technology
- Costuming, cosplay, and making
- Movies, television, animation, and media fandom
- Art, collecting, gaming, and fan culture
- Science fiction, fantasy, horror, and speculative ideas
Share Your Ideas
Help shape the programming at Archon 49! Whether you have an idea for a topic you'd love to see discussed or you've developed a panel that you'd like to present, we'd love to hear from you.
Whether this is your first Archon or you've been attending for years, we welcome ideas and presentations from new and returning participants alike.
Panel Suggestions
The Programming Department is looking for ideas from attendees about the kinds of panels they'd like to see at Archon 49. If there's a topic, discussion, workshop, or presentation you'd enjoy, let us know!
Present a Panel
Have a panel you've developed that you'd like to present at Archon? A private panel is one that you organize yourself, either as a solo presentation or with a group of panelists you've already assembled.
All submissions are reviewed by the Programming Department. Submission does not guarantee acceptance, and presenters whose panels are accepted must still purchase an Archon membership.
During the Convention
Panel and presentation events usually begin at the top of the hour and run for approximately 50 minutes. Programming may take place at both the Gateway Convention Center and the DoubleTree Hotel.
During the convention, you can also visit us in the Programming Batcave in Illini B of the Gateway Convention Center for questions or assistance.
