What is Archon?
Archon is St. Louis’s long-running science fiction and fantasy convention, bringing together fans, creators, gamers, artists, costumers, musicians, and curious newcomers for a weekend of panels, performances, exhibits, and community.
Whether you come for the guests, the art show, the gaming rooms, the masquerade, the filk, or just to spend a weekend with fellow fans, Archon has something for you.

Larry Niven
In a career that's lasted over 60 years, Larry has been honored with 8 Nebula Award nominations and one win, 19 Hugo Award nominations with five wins, and 46 Locus Award nominations with four wins. In 2005 he shared the Robert A. Heinlein Award with frequent collaborator Jerry Pournelle. Additionally he’s won the Prometheus Award, two Ditmars (Australia), and a Seiun Award (Japan). His iconic novel Ringworld Earned him the Triple Crown of science fiction with the Nebula, Hugo and Locus Award wins. And the Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers Association would award Larry the Damon Knight Memorial Grand Master Award in 2014.
Fran Wilde
Two-time Nebula winner Fran Wilde is the author of nine novels and over 70 short stories. Her acclaimed work includes the Compton Crook-winning Updraft and the NPR Best Book Riverland. A frequent finalist for Hugo and Locus awards, Fran’s writing appears in Asimov’s and Uncanny. She is the Managing Editor for The Sunday Morning Transport and has taught at the Vermont College of Fine Arts.
Joy Alyssa Day
Joy Alyssa Day is a professional artist specializing in glass blowing and reverse glass painting. Her work ranges from viral "Police Box" fridge kits to 38-foot lobby installations. A two-time Hugo Base designer, she is widely known for her blown glass Solar System ornaments.
David Mack
David Mack is the New York Times bestselling author of 40 novels of science fiction, fantasy, and adventure. His writing credits span many media, including television (for episodes of Star Trek: Deep Space Nine), audio drama (Star Trek: Khan), and comic books. He has worked as a consultant for Star Trek: Prodigy, and in 2022 the International Association of Media Tie-in Writers honored him as a Grandmaster with its Faust Award. He resides in New York City.
Tim Griffin
Tim Griffin is a STEM teacher-turned-filker who blends science, humor, and music into unforgettable performances. After 18 years in Los Angeles classrooms, he launched GriffinEd to create engaging, peer-reviewed educational songs. A Pegasus Award-winning songwriter, Tim has performed everywhere from NASA events to conventions and schools across the country. Inducted into the Filk Hall of Fame in 2026, he’s known for making audiences laugh, learn, and sing along.
Kevin Dulle
Award-winning costumer and longtime Archon Masquerade leader, now serving as Master of Ceremonies while mentoring the next generation of creators.
